The goal
of IC Hope is to provide a website
where the IC patient is the # 1 concern.
1) There have never been and never will be
advertisements for pharmaceutical medications or natural products on this site.
This means we do not promote any specific treatments over any others based on
"kickbacks" or income of any kind from these companies. The result is an
unbiased look at ALL treatment options available to IC
patients.
2) An uncensored message board so that IC patients
can discuss ALL treatment options available to them without having their
comments deleted. This means IC patients can say how they really feel, tell the
truth of their experiences with medical or natural doctors, medical or natural
treatments, without fear that they will be "attacked" verbally or deleted. The
result is the ability of IC patients to make well-informed decisions on how they
want to treat (or let others treat) their bodies based on the truth, rather than
on a censored version of the truth.
The Origin
of IC Hope
IC Hope was born out of the same compassion, empathy,
and understanding as Catherine M. Simone's books. As an IC patient who suffered
under the "care" of medical and natural doctors who didn't understand IC and as
someone who suffered with a very severe case, Simone has a deep understanding of
what IC patients endure, as well as an abundance of genuine compassion and
empathy for them. She knows how difficult it is to make treatment decisions when
you have everyone telling you different things. And she knows it is even more
difficult to make well-informed decisions when you don't have all the facts.
Simone believes that the best way to get all the facts, to really know how IC
treatments are affecting IC patients, is to talk to the patients themselves.
This is what helped her find her way to wellness and this is what she is
offering you here. Simone also knows how difficult it is to believe that you can
really get well when everyone is telling you that you can’t. IC Hope and
Simone’s books are here to tell you that you CAN get well, that there truly IS
hope to fully heal from IC. As she says in her books “Just because “they”
haven’t figured it out yet, doesn’t mean you can’t get better.”
